The Museum is entrusted to The Keeper and her proxy keepers, assigned to protect the stories of our hidden sexual histories for generations to come.

We consider it vital work that the struggle for sexual freedom is a story told.

The Keeper

The Museum of Sex Objects is delighted to have as its current Keeper, Deborah Sim (1986-to present day).

During, her time in office, she has been the Co-Founder and Creative Director of Coco de Mer and completed a master’s programme, specialising in Visual Culture and Gender Studies.

Sim is a devout historian, passionate storyteller and finds libraries the most erotic of public spaces.

In this custodial role, Sim is determined to protect the stories of sexual identity we, as a society, are in danger of losing.
